FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about dispatching with Path of Excellence Logistics LLC? Here are some of the questions carriers ask before getting started.
What equipment does POE dispatch?
We currently provide dispatch support for cargo vans, Sprinter vans, and 26′ box trucks.
Do I need my own MC and DOT numbers?
Carriers should have the operating authority and documentation required for their operation. POE reviews carrier information during the onboarding process before dispatch services begin.
How much does POE charge?
Our standard dispatch fee is 10%.
The specific terms are provided in the Carrier-Dispatch Agreement before services begin.
Do you guarantee loads or a specific amount of revenue?
No.
Freight availability, rates, lanes, and demand can change. POE does not guarantee a specific number of loads, revenue amount, mileage, or profit.
Our role is to consistently search for freight that fits your operation and preferences.
Do I have to accept every load you find?
No.
You make the final decision on the loads you accept.
We can research and present opportunities, discuss the details, and assist with negotiations, but the carrier remains in control of its business decisions.
What areas do you cover?
We work with carriers running local, regional, and long-haul freight, depending on equipment, operating area, and available opportunities.
Your preferred lanes and operating area are discussed during onboarding.
What documents will I need?
Depending on your operation, onboarding may require items such as:
- W-9
- Certificate of Insurance
- MC Authority information
- USDOT information
- Equipment documentation
- Signed Carrier-Dispatch Agreement
- Other carrier-specific documentation when applicable
POE will review the information provided and let you know if additional documentation is needed.

Incomplete applications or missing documentation can delay the process.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes.
Dispatch services are provided under a Carrier-Dispatch Agreement. Our standard agreement has a 30-day term.
You will have an opportunity to review the agreement before signing.
When do I pay the dispatch fee?
Our agreement provides that the dispatch fee is due within three days after the carrier receives payment for the applicable load.
Does POE work directly with brokers?
Yes.
As authorized by the carrier, POE can communicate with brokers and assist with load coordination, rate discussions, confirmations, and related dispatch communication.
Can I choose my own lanes?
Yes.
Your preferred lanes and operating area are part of the information we collect during onboarding.
We use those preferences when searching for freight, while recognizing that available opportunities can vary.

No.
POE provides dispatch services to carriers. We do not represent ourselves as the carrier, and we do not guarantee freight availability or revenue.
