How POE Dispatching Works
Getting started with Path of Excellence Logistics LLC is designed to be straightforward.
We handle the dispatch support and freight-search work while you stay in control of your truck and business decisions.
1. Submit Your Application
Start by completing our Become a Carrier application.
We’ll collect basic information about your company, operating authority, equipment, operating area, and freight preferences.
2. Application Review
Once your application is submitted, POE reviews the information provided.
We’ll look at your equipment, operating authority, insurance information, preferred lanes, and other details needed to determine the next steps.
3. Provide Required Documents
Approved applicants move into the documentation stage.
Depending on your operation, required documents may include:
- W-9
- Certificate of Insurance
- MC Authority information
- USDOT information
- Equipment documentation
- Carrier-Dispatch Agreement
We’ll let you know if anything is missing or needs attention.
4. Complete Onboarding
Once the required information and documents have been reviewed, we complete the remaining onboarding requirements.
You’ll receive the information you need regarding your dispatch relationship with POE before dispatch services begin.
5. Get Matched With Freight Opportunities
Once your carrier account is active, POE begins searching for freight based on your:
- Equipment
- Operating area
- Preferred lanes
- Schedule
- Freight preferences
We look for opportunities that fit your operation rather than simply throwing random loads at your phone like a freight-themed slot machine.
6. Review the Load
When we identify a potential load, we’ll provide the relevant information so you can evaluate the opportunity.
You make the final decision.
You are never required to accept a load simply because POE found it.
7. Negotiation & Coordination
When appropriate, POE communicates with the broker and assists with rate discussions, load details, confirmations, and other dispatch-related coordination.
Our goal is to keep the process organized and reduce the amount of time you spend chasing information.
8. Ongoing Dispatch Support
After the load is booked, we remain involved with the dispatch process and help coordinate communication through delivery.
As your operation changes, your preferred lanes, equipment, and freight needs can also be updated.
